I love New Belgium's Ranger IPA, it's one of the great widely-distributed craft brew IPA's on the market and it's not going to take a huge chunk out of your meager monthly budget. This beer doesn't try to be anything but an IPA. It pours a great golden color with two fingers of frothy white head. It also packs a strong piney hop taste up front with citrus orange, a flash of malty sweet, and a strong bitter finish, which has the great effect of waking up even the laziest palate. The beer stands up at a 6.5% ABV, which means a couple after a tasty light dinner and you'll be feeling good... make it a 6-pack and you've got a party.
Best Drunk: From a unicorn horn riding the back of a lion through a field of hops. It's also pretty good from a bottle, as long as you're swinging in a hammock and you don't have to work for 24 hours... or maybe because you have to work in 24 hours.
